What is the point of a big kitchen?
There is always an argument, especially in my house on how small the kitchen is. But just how big do you need the kitchen to be? Do you really need one of those big fancy designer kitchens? To be honest I don't think I will ever quite understand why people need such big kitchens when all they are used for is cooking and the occassianal party. So the question is, why do people need to spend so much money on a kitchen they will hardly ever use? The answer being I have absolutely no
idea.
I think what it’s really comes down to is how competitive you like being and how many dinner parties you have.
One of the first things you do as person when entering a new house is get invited into the kitchen. The thing is when people walk into a house they have never been in before the first thing they will do is judge it and thats just how the human mind works. It's one of the human being's worse attributes, to judge everyone else. How much time and effort needs to be spent on decicding how much and how you are going to have your kitchen before you even start out?
Over the years there has always been discussions on whether or not to extend for a biger kitchen or not. I wouldn't get a bigger kitchen myself but I do see why there are people that would splash out on thousands of pounds for the best looking one. The kitchen in our house isn't used much the same as most homes, one cooked meal a day at about an hour in kitchen at the very maxium. Why after having people in your own kitchen do you feel like it's not good enough? Well the real answer is people care what other people think and thats something I have never understood. As well as this there are some fantastic top of the range kitchens out there as well as the bespoke kitchens that you design yourself. I really find it hard to understand why people spend so much money on kitchens, then again some of them are amazing.
