To enable this, the Moccamaster KBT741 incorporates a few key features.
The water is heated consistently to 200 degrees every time by a copper heating element.
The water flows through a filter into the thermal carafe.
Since this carafe is a thermal unit, it keeps the coffee at the ideal serving temperature without the need for an external heating element.
This is an extremely important factor in maintaining that “just brewed” taste.
The thermal carafe is all stainless, and has an elegant appearance, so that the carafe can be taken out of the unit when the coffee has been brewed and placed on a serving table if desired.
The carafe holds 1.25 liters, or approximately 10 cups.
This is brewed in approximately 5 or 6 minutes.
There is also a no drip feature should the carafe need to be removed from the brewer before the batch of coffee has finished brewing.
Either disposable paper filters, or a separate reusable goldfilter can be used.
