Check every inch of space in your bedroom. Even the walls, floors, bed posts, furniture, and fixtures must be meticulously inspected. Once you have identified every area you can try any of the following in killing bedbugs.

Extreme heat can be effective in killing bedbugs. Scrub and vacuum each surface. Seal the vacuum bag in a plastic bag. Then, expose the furniture and mattress under the sun for some hours. After exposing under extreme heat inspect if there is any bedbug left.

You can also use diatomaceous soil in killing bedbugs. This contains fossils of single-celled algae, which comes in powder form. Its particles have jagged edges that cut into the bedbugs which kills them. Do not worry because the particles are too small to harm you or any mammal. Just leave the particles on infested areas for some time and then use a vacuum to get rid of the soil and dead bedbugs.

Because steam is extremely hot, you can kill bedbugs using this as well. The only problem is that not all types of furniture can be steam-cleaned. Therefore, before you use this, make sure that you will not be destroying the furniture.

You can kill bedbugs using insecticides. Just be sure that you buy the one for bedbugs and not another insect. Before applying the insecticide, read the product label and instructions first. Follow the instructions in application and handle the insecticide carefully.

Try these methods and see that they really work. Just be very patient because you have to thoroughly check the area before and after treatment. And to be definite that you have killed all the bedbugs, you may have to re-treat the area. Regularly check your house for possible infestations also.
